The pressure gauge is mainly composed of a diaphragm isolator and a universal pressure instrument to form a system of diaphragm gauges during operation. The main connection methods between pressure gauges and equipment include threaded connections, flange connections, and sanitary clamp connections. The meter is suitable for measuring the pressure of media with strong corrosion, high temperature, high viscosity, easy crystallization, easy solidification, and solid floating matter, as well as situations where it is necessary to avoid direct entry of the measuring medium into the universal pressure instrument and prevent sediment accumulation and easy cleaning.

Temperature characteristics of pressure gauge

When using a pressure gauge, the pressure gauge system is filled with sealing fluid as the medium for transmitting pressure. Due to the temperature expansion coefficient of the sealing fluid, the pressure gauge indicates an increase with the temperature of the compressed part. The temperature effect is related to the expansion coefficient of the sealing fluid, diaphragm stiffness, and compression temperature, especially for low range pressure instruments. The temperature error of the pressure part is generally not greater than 0.1%/degree, so the total temperature influence of the pressure gauge is generally the sum of the temperature influence of the universal instrument and the pressure part of the diaphragm device.

Before calibrating the pressure gauge, first prepare a matching joint based on the diaphragm device model of the calibrated pressure gauge, so that it can be used on a universal pressure calibration table. The diaphragm device of the pressure gauge is generally flange type. Prepare a matching pressure joint according to the size and model of the flange. You can find the corresponding flange and universal pressure gauge joint on site for processing, which is a direct and convenient method.

During the process of fixing the calibrated pressure gauge on the standard calibration table, attention should be paid to handling it gently and not damaging the diaphragm. When using a wrench to rotate the calibrated pressure gauge, the wrench must be stuck on the connecting nut of the diaphragm device, not on the universal pressure gauge, because the universal pressure gauge on the instrument is a sealed system with the diaphragm device. It is not allowed to disassemble or replace other types of pressure gauges at will to avoid the leakage of working fluid filled inside the system, which may affect the performance and even scrap. Especially for new students who have just started working, this must be clearly explained before calibrating the pressure gauge.
